It’s Aliyah Boston’s basketball world and we’re all just living in it.

The South Carolina junior had a career-high 29 points on Monday night on a perfect 13-of-13 shooting to power No. 1 South Carolina past North Carolina A&T, 79-42.

Thanks to Boston’s historic night, the Gamecocks are now 8-0 the first time since the 2015-16 season.

Boston secured the double-double by adding 14 rebounds and three blocked shots during 20 minutes of play. Over 10 minutes in the second and third quarters, she scored 18 of South Carolina’s 27 points.

Her 13 field goals are a career best, topping the 11 she made against Florida during the 2020-21 season.

No other player scored in double digits for the Gamecocks as the bench combined for 33 total points. The team’s 46 points in the paint far outpaced North Carolina A&T’s 16.

With the win, the Gamecocks further solidify their argument for their No. 1 ranking in the AP Poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

The Gamecocks are back in action against Kansas State on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
