The U.S. Under-17 Women’s Youth National Team advanced to the Round of 16 at the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship after thrashing Puerto Rico 13-0 on Monday.
Amalia Villarreal led the charge for the United States with a staggering five goals, tying a U.S. record for the most goals scored in a single match at any age level. The forward’s stunning performance included a hat trick scored in a six-minute span.

Midfielder Claire Hutton also added a hat trick to help the United States tie a team record for the fourth-most goals ever scored in a youth World Cup qualifying match.
The emphatic victory secured the team a spot in the knockout stage of the Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship, with one group game left to play against Costa Rico on Wednesday at Estadio Olimpico Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo. The match will be broadcast on Fox Sports 2 at 4 p.m. ET.
