
United States, Canada name rosters for hockey worlds
Both teams feature Olympic stars.
Team Canada released a promising update on Mélodie Daoust, announcing that the star forward is out day-to-day with an upper-body injury, but is expected to return to the Beijing Olympics.

Daoust skated off the ice during Canada’s Olympic opener against Switzerland, leaving the game after a hard check into the boards. The 30-year-old is a cornerstone for Team Canada, helping the squad to gold in Sochi in 2014 and silver in PyeongChang in 2018.
Canada has had a dominant start to the Winter Games, defeating the Swiss 12-1 and downing Finland 11-1 in the team’s second preliminary round match.
The Canadian team will next take the ice in their Monday Group A matchup against the Russian Olympic Committee.
