Overview

Just Women’s Sports is looking for a Head of Marketing to build, execute, and manage a cohesive, efficient, and results-driven marketing strategy in order to hit the company’s top-line goals. This role would oversee the marketing department (including brand marketing, talent relations, paid media, events, audience development / analytics, and PR) and work closely with the Head of Content and Head of Revenue. This is a data-driven leader that is obsessed with growth, scale, and brand. Women’s sports is still a niche space; the head of marketing is going to change that.

What you'll do

  • This is a leadership role, as such, this person would work across the organization and define company strategy, objectives, and goals.
  • Work with other members of the leadership team to set quarterly and annual marketing goals.
  • Build strategies to hit our company priorities; including, audience growth across channels and general brand awareness.
  • Support content teams on driving audience / community engagement across major tentpoles.
  • Marketing at Just Women’s Sports includes brand marketing, content marketing, digital, public relations, events, and analytics. This person would bring all the sub-departments of marketing into one cohesive strategy.
  • Work across the content, brand, and sales team to build and execute strategies to hit KPIs. Most notably, the content team in order to grow our audience and digital footprint.
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material).
  • Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to scale our digital channels and evaluate end-to-end user experience across multiple channels and consumer touch points.
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing department
  • Craft quarterly and annual hiring plans.
  • Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features).
  • Coordinate sales and marketing efforts to boost brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.

Who you are

  • 9+ years of marketing experience, preferably within digital media
  • Experience leading and managing a team
  • Passion for managing and developing talent
  • Highly creative with experience building seamless cross-platform digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate a targeted audience.
  • Experience developing and managing successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Experience balancing multiple high-priority projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with web analytics, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, BI Dashboards
  • Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google Adwords
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals
  • Analytical mind
