The Head of Revenue is responsible for driving sponsorship sales and monetizing JWS’ signature content offerings. 

What you'll do

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Develop go-to-market strategy for JWS advertising/sponsorship sales including crafting value proposition and communicating through marketing materials
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with advertiser partners, and through research, identify brands and agencies who show a marked interest in advertising around women’s sports as well as reaching the JWS audience demographic
  • Leverage JWS and own relationships to build a strong sales pipeline 
  • Partner with CEO and Head of Strategy to establish revenue forecasts and sales targets
  • Hit quarterly sales goals by selling advertising and integrated sponsorships across JWS portfolio 
  • Liaise with content team to develop custom content integration plans for advertiser inclusion
  • Leverage audience to create compelling sponsorship experiences that resonate with JWS audience
  • Develop, package, and price custom sponsorships
  • Create corresponding media plans for advertiser proposals
  • Partner with the analytics team to define data requirements to fuel advertising/sponsorship sales  
  • Leverage research, analytics and case studies to help tell the JWS story in client meetings and sales and recap materials
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders and vendors to build brand and sales decks, combining a compelling story and data into sales marketing materials. These may include pitch framework, recaps, sizzle videos, case studies, mockups, and category-specific sponsorship thought starters
  • Initially responsible for managing day-to-day relationships with sponsors/advertising partners during program/campaign activation/implementation. Subsequently hire/train/coach account management/operations personnel to assume these responsibilities over time.
  • Work with CEO and Head of Strategy to build out and lead sales organization as the company scales over time.
  • Manage regular communications and sales status updates across organization
  • Work with the CEO and Head of Strategy to explore and develop additional revenue stream opportunities such as live or virtual events, ecommerce, subscriptions, strategic partnerships, affiliate, etc.

  • You have a deep passion and knowledge for women’s sports, as well as an understanding of the JWS brand
