Just Women’s Sports is seeking an enthusiastic and driven creative individual to help lead our brand design.

The Lead Designer will lead and oversee how the JWS brand comes to life across all touchpoints. Reporting to the CEO, this designer will define and execute the creative vision for the Just Women’s Sports brand and inspire its evolution as we scale.

We’re looking for a creative visionary; someone who is passionate about how brands come to life through design, execution, and experience. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who isn’t afraid to dig into all aspects of production, inclusive of creative and art direction, motion and design.

Your work will live on an array of touchpoints across the brand, including website, social media, merch, sales materials, email, OOH campaigns, events and video. The The Lead Designer will also have the opportunity to flex and build sub-brands around our owned series, films, documentaries, sport and culture verticals, live events and more.

This is a special opportunity to shape the visual tone for our fast growing brand, and how consumers perceive of our brand wherever they experience it.

What you'll do

  • Guide visual design and creative that grows awareness, engagement, and loyalty to our brand.
  • Partner with channel stakeholders to ensure the visual experience in our product and overall brand strategy per audience work together cohesively and consistently.
  • Provide strategic guidance to ensure that design solutions support specific business goals.
  • Work across the organization on highly-visible integrated campaigns that span TV, digital, social and email; and visual content for key touchpoints such as our website, social accounts and press releases.
  • Communicate ideas and relevant context across the organization to create momentum and get buy-in at all levels.
  • Develop a strong roster of freelance design and production talent that can augment the team in executing work at the speed and scale required by the business.
  • Promote creative excellence and inspire the team to produce brand-defining work across all touch points.
  • Approach all projects through a strategic lens with systems-thinking and a storytelling skill set.

Who you are

  • A design leader with experience in creative design, concept development, meticulous precision, and creative team leadership
  • 2+ years professional experience
  • A genuine interest in women’s sports and popular culture
  • Expert knowledge of all the latest design tools, platforms, and versions of applicable software programs
  • Strong understanding of Brand Identity Systems, Brand Guidelines creation, Logo Design, Typography, Iconography, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to articulate creative concepts
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently and with a team
  • Is comfortable with ambiguity and integrating diverse skills and approaches
  • Knowledge of digital and social best practices
  • Ability to manage workflow and deadlines for multiple projects across teams
  • Experience creating integrated marketing across multiple channels from digital, social media, paid media, print, and brand experience
