What you'll do

In a world where women’s sports have been perennially underfunded, under-promoted, and underappreciated, Just Women’s Sports exists to shine a light on the stories, athletes and moments that define and fuel the women’s game. From jaw-dropping performances to off-court fits, we bring sports fans everything they need to see and know in the world of women’s sports.

The primary responsibility of Social Design Intern will be to assist the Social Team on day-to-day, on the fly custom content creation. You will have a hand in assisting how posts come to life from concept through to it living on feeds. We welcome original graphics and custom content creation, with guidance from the Senior Director of Social Strategy. From resizing photos, to editing pre-existing templates, to designing original graphics, the Design Intern will have a hands-on experience with the JWS team.

Who we are

Established in 2020, Just Women’s Sports Inc. is a digital-first consumer media brand 100% dedicated to covering women’s sports. JWS brings “everything you need to see and know in the world of women’s sports” to the masses through a multi-channel, digital first approach, with daily content including podcasts, newsletters, a website, and social media. Our original programming includes, Tea with A and Phee, hosted by A’ja Wilson and Napheesa Collier, SNACKS, hosted by Lynn Williams and Sam Mewis, Off The Ball with Ali Riley, The Soccer Show with Haley Kopmeyer and David Copeland-Smith, and our flagship show, The Just Women’s Sports Podcast, with Kelley O’Hara.

A half century after Title IX, women are half of all athletes and half of all fans, and they’re tired of waiting for the media to catch up. Just Women’s Sports is redefining women’s sports coverage for these modern fans, with an approach predicated on access, consistency, and depth. Now reaching 7 million passionate women’s sports fans on a monthly basis, we’ve seen nearly 300% growth YoY in our first year as a company. Just Women’s Sports closed a seed round of funding in Q2 ’21 headlined by institutional investors Will Ventures, Thirty Five Ventures, DRIVE by DraftKings, Kleiner Perkins, Ovo Fund, and Supernode Global and athlete investors Arike Ogunbowale, Elena Delle Donne, Hilary Knight, Kelley O’Hara, Sam Mewis, and Kevin Durant.
