Coco Gauff announced on Sunday that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and will not compete in the Olympic games.

The 17-year-old tennis star was set to headline Team USA in her Olympic debut.
“It has always been a dream of mine to represent the USA at the Olympics, and I hope there will be many more chances for me to make this come true in the future,” Gauff wrote via social media on Sunday.
Gauff’s announcement comes only days after the Olympic Village reported its first case of COVID-19.
The Olympics Games will begin with the opening ceremonies on Friday and run through August 8.

Kasatkina also sent home two top 10 players.
Gauff defeated Osaka 6-4, 6-4.
Osaka next plays Coco Gauff.
