Stanford bounced back after falling to No. 18 South Florida, downing No. 2 Maryland in a commanding 86-67 win at the Baha Mar Hoops tournament on Saturday.
Hannah Jump led the Cardinal with 21 points, shooting 7-for-14 from three. Haley Jones, Fran Belibi and Lexi Hull all added 15 points each to Stanford’s tally, with Jones pulling down 13 rebounds for the double-double.

Ashley Owusu notched 29 points for Maryland, shooting a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line.
The junior’s performance, however, wasn’t enough for Maryland, who shot just 30.9 percent from the floor compared to Stanford’s 51.7 percent. The Cardinal also outrebounded the Terps 45 to 35 in the win.
Saturday marks Maryland’s second-straight loss to a top-ten team, having lost to No. 7 NC State earlier in the Baha Mar Hoops tournament. The Terps will look to get back to their winning ways when they host the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday.
Stanford will also take the court on Thursday, hosting the Pacific Tigers at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto.
