The AP Top 10 remains unchanged after a relatively quiet week of basketball.

South Carolina stays atop the poll as the unanimous No. 1 after rallying to defeat No. 2 Stanford 65-61 last Tuesday. Despite the loss, Stanford held onto the No. 2 ranking.

In fact, all 12 of the top teams in the poll remained in the same spots from the previous week.

Teams begin conference play this week, though a number of games have already been postponed due to COVID-19 issues. No. 4 Arizona’s matchup with UCLA on Sunday was moved because of COVID-19 protocols in the Bruins’ program. As of now, the Wildcats are scheduled to play Washington State on Jan. 7. If it goes on as scheduled, it will be their first game since Dec. 17.

In the Big Ten, No. 25 Ohio State visits No. 9 Michigan on Friday while No. 6 Maryland meets No. 8 Indiana on Sunday. For the first time since the early 2000s, the conference has had three teams in the top 10 every week.

Notably, Iowa dropped six spots to No. 21 after a devastating loss at home to IUPUI, the Hawkeyes’ second defeat in their past three games. Iowa, which began the season at No. 9, will not play Penn State on Thursday due to COVID-19 issues within the opponent’s program.
