The Sweet 16 arrives Friday in the NCAA women’s tournament with plenty of action promising to unfold over the coming days.
If the first two rounds are any indication, the second weekend of March Madness will bring thrills to the four host sites: Bridgeport, Greensboro, Wichita and Spokane.
Two No. 10 seeds, Creighton and South Dakota, are making their program’s first trips to the Sweet 16, while top seeds Stanford, NC State and Louisville will face their first major tests of the tournament. South Carolina, meanwhile, will look to shrug off its slow offensive start.
