Oklahoma softball are the 2022 Big 12 regular season champions following a Bedlam series sweep over Oklahoma State. The Sooners won the final game of the series 5-3.

The Sooners finished their record-breaking regular season 48-1 and 17-1 in Big 12 conference play. In total, the Sooners have won 10 consecutive regular season titles and 14 overall.

On Saturday, senior day for Oklahoma, it was fittingly Jocelyn Alo who delivered the win for Oklahoma, hitting a grand slam to give her team a 5-2 lead in the fifth after going down 2-1.

“Everything about this season has been so unbelievably storybook for (Alo),” Gasso said after the game. “The last at-bat regular season, at home, senior day, what else could she do?

“Hawaii, here we are. Let’s hit a home run in front of tens-of-thousands of family members out there. So just fitting.”

Fellow senior Grace Lyons managed to help cut the deficit in half in the fourth with an RBI that helped sophomore Tiare Jennings reach the plate. From there, Alo launched her 112th career home run and 24th of 2022.

Previously, the Sooners had beat the Cowgirls 7-1 in the series opener and 6-0 to clinch the series and the Big 12 regular season crown.
