Former Syracuse women’s basketball coach Quentin Hillsman is headed to Spain.

After resigning in August following accusations of bullying and an external investigation into the alleged misconduct, Hillsman has now been hired by a professional club in Madrid.

Leganés announced the signing of Hillsman Wednesday, less than a month after his resignation.

“Having Coach Q is a privilege for this club,” Leganés club president José Ramos said.

Hillsman left Syracuse after 15 seasons after he was accused by former players and staff of a pattern of inappropriate behavior, including unwanted physical contact, threats and bullying of players. After the 2020-2021 season, Syracuse had 11 players enter the transfer portal in the month after the season ended — the most amongst any Division I program, men or women.

Leganés begins their season on Sept. 25.
