As the Connecticut Sun continue to roll, Jonquel Jones continues to make her case for MVP.

The Sun have now won nine in a row after downing the Washington Mystics 85-75 on Tuesday. It’s their second-longest winning streak since the Sun won 12 straight in 2006.
Connecticut is now 21-6 and sitting firmly atop the WNBA standings.
Jones tied her career-high in points with 31 while also grabbing 13 rebounds. The center now leads the league in double-doubles.
In all, Jones’ MVP case is strong. With last night’s performance, she is averaging 20.3 points per game this season alongside 11 rebounds, one of three players to average a double-double this season.
Brionna Jones also showed off for the Sun, laying down 22 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double of her own.
Shatori-Walker Kimbrough scored 17 points for the Mystics.
