The Portland Thorns of the NWSL and the Portland Timbers of the MLS are teaming up for PTFC For Peace, a mixed-teams matchup to raise money for Ukrainian children and families affected by Russia’s invasion of the country.
When:
The match will kick off at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday, April 27.
Where:
Providence Park will host the historic matchup, with admission free to the public. Donations are encouraged, with all donations up to $100,000 matched by the teams.
How to donate:
Fans can make donations directly at www.unicefusa.org/PTFC or buy tickets, with donations encouraged. An online auction where fans can bid on game-worn shirts from the match and other items, including the game ball, will be available at www.PTFC.givesmart.com.
How to watch:
The 60-minute game will be streamed on the clubs’ websites (Timbers.com and ThornsFC.com) starting at 9 p.m. ET.
