For only the second time in WNBA history, two teams with double-digit win streaks went head-to-head on Saturday night.
The Connecticut Sun, improving to a 12-game win streak, downed the Phoenix Mercury, who were riding 10 consecutive wins.
Jasmine Thomas led the Sun to a 76-67 win over the Mercury, dropping 17 points, shooting 3-of-4 from deep and 54.5 percent from the field. Jonquel Jones recorded her 16th double-double of the season, notching 12 points and sixteen rebounds.

Connecticut’s win streak ties a franchise record, and secures the Sun the No. 1 seed in the 2021 playoffs.
Next up: Phoenix will take on the Seattle Storm on Friday. Connecticut will host the New York Liberty on Wednesday.
