Suni Lee, Auburn headline 2022 NCAA Gymnastics Championship field

No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 8 Minnesota, No. 4 Utah, No. 5 Alabama, No. 2 Florida, No. 7 Auburn, No. 3 Michigan and No. 11 Missouri are headed to Fort Worth, Texas for the NCAA Championships after Saturday’s Regional Finals.

The competition was filled with record-breaking performances, including a series of perfect 10s.

Suni Lee executed a perfect beam routine to lead the Tigers to a team score of 197.775 and a berth in the championships.

In the same regional, Florida’s Trinity Thomas notched two perfect 10 performances on floor and vault, while her teammate, Leanne Wong, recorded a perfect score on vault to help the Gators advance.

Gabby Wilson led Michigan to the regional title with a team score of 197.800. Missouri came in second, narrowly outscoring UCLA to advance to the semifinals for the first time in program history.

Kara Eaker and Maile O’Keefe recorded back-to-back perfect 10s on beam to punch Utah’s ticket to Fort Worth with a team score of 198.200.

Coming in second to Utah, Alabama posted a score of 198.175. The Crimson Tide’s 49.650 on floor was the highest postseason score in program history.

Oklahoma and Minnesota also advanced out of the Norman Regional, with Ona Loper helping secure the Gophers’ place in the championships with a 9.950 floor routine.

The semifinals of the NCAA Championships will kick off on April 14.
