Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce clocked a 10.63 second 100m in Kingston, Jamaica on Saturday. The only woman to run a faster time was Florence Griffith Joyner back in 1988, when she ran a 10.61 second in the final of that year’s Olympic trials.

The two-time 100m Olympic champion Fraser-Pryce bested the 10.7 national record that she shared with Elaine Thompson-Herah.

Fraser-Pryce’s record-breaking performance makes her a heavy favorite for the 100m dash heading into this summer’s Olympic games.
