Virginia Tech star Liz Kitley will miss the ACC tournament, coach Kenny Brooks said Friday.
Speaking on the pre-game show on the Virginia Tech Sports Network ahead of the team’s game against Miami, Brooks said that Kitley is out of the conference tournament. She is set to be reevaluated after.
Kitley, a three-time ACC player of the year, was injured in the team’s final regular season game, going down with a non-contact injury. While she returned to the team’s bench, she did not play the rest of the game. She appeared on Friday during the team’s warmups and was not in uniform.
On the pre-game show on the Virginia Tech Sports Network, #Hokies coach Kenny Brooks told Evan Hughes that three-time ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley is out for the conference tournament and will be reevaluated after.

The loss of Kitley is a big one, as she currently ranks sixth in the country with 22.8 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game – both of which lead the Hokies this season. She also led Virginia Tech in blocks per game with 2.1.
