Have no fear, Tobin Heath is back in form just in time for the Olympics.
When the USWNT announced its 18-player Olympic roster, many questioned just how healthy stars Tobin Heath and Julie Ertz were. While Ertz has yet to see any game action since spraining her MCL in May, Heath has been quick to silence the critics in her first two games back from a knee injury.
In the first game of the Send-Off Series on Thursday, Heath scored a screamer mere seconds after being subbed in to give the USWNT a 3-0 lead over Mexico.

Heath put an exclamation point on her return in Sunday’s rematch, scoring her second goal in as many games.

The score marks Heath’s 35th career goal with the USWNT, tying her with Sydney Leroux and April Heinrichs for 16th on the all-time scoring list.
Heath has continuously proven she is one of the USWNT’s best players and, at 33 years old, she remains a staple of the team’s offense. As the USWNT goes for its fourth Olympic gold, the forward could be a difference-maker with her ability to find the back of the net.
