Bio: Born in Lake Forest, California, Rodriguez played soccer at Santa Margarita Catholic High School where she was a Parade All-American in 2003 and 2004, and the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2005. Rodriguez played at the University of Southern California from 2005 to 2008. She finished her collegiate career as the number four all-time scorer for USC and was considered a cornerstone in the team’s first ever NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship in 2007.

After playing for the USWNT in the 2008 Summer Olympics, Rodriguez was drafted first overall in the 2009 WPS Draft by the Boston Breakers. In 2009, she was traded to the Philadelphia Independence. As a part of the NWSL Player Allocation in 2013, Rodriguez joined Seattle Reign before quickly being traded to FC Kansas City. After FC Kansas City ceased operations in 2017, Rodriguez signed with the Utah Royals and made her debut in April of 2018 after recovering from a knee injury.

Rodriguez made her senior debut on the USWNT in 2005, when she was just a senior in high school. She played on the 2008 and 2012 Olympic gold medal teams, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup runner-up team, and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion team.
