Bio: Born in Naperville, Illinois, Short played college soccer at Florida State University where she tied the school record for career assists in ACC games (11). During her career at FSU, Short scored 7 goals in 81 appearances. In 2013, she was selected as the fifth overall pick in the NWSL College Draft by the Boston Breakers. Due to a knee injury, Short never competed for the Breakers and, in 2014, she was acquired by the Chicago Red Stars. After another injury in 2014, Short made her debut for the Red Stars in 2016. Short continues to play for the Chicago Red Stars.

Short has represented the United States at the under-16, under-17, under-20, and under-23 levels. In 2016, she received her first call-up to the senior USWNT. Short was a part of the USWNT when they won the SheBelieves Cup in 2018 and 2020, and the CONCACAF Women’s Championship in 2018.
