Bio: The Los Angeles Sparks was founded in 1997 as one of the eight inaugural teams in the WNBA. The team plays their home games at the Staples Center. The Sparks have qualified for the WNBA Playoffs sixteen times — more than any other team in the league. In 2001, 2002 and 2016, the team won the WNBA Championship. As of 2019, the Sparks are the last franchise to win back-to-back titles.
