Bio: Raised in Springfield, Oregon, Russell attended Springfield High School and went on to play basketball at the University of Tennessee. During her collegiate career, Russell was just the sixth player in school history to record 1,500 points and 1,000 career rebounds. She set the record for most double-doubles in a single season during both her junior and senior years. While at Tennessee, Russell was named to the coaches All-SEC First Team and AP All-SEC Second Team.

Russell was drafted 22nd overall in the 2018 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. After making her debut with the team, she was waived and acquired as a free agent by the Seattle Storm. In her first year in the league, Russell helped the Storm win the WNBA Championship. Beyond the WNBA, Russell also plays for the Southside Flyers in Australia’s WNBL.
