Bio: Founded in 1997, the New York Liberty is one of eight original franchises in the WNBA. The team plays in the Barclays Center. The Liberty has qualified for the WNBA Playoffs in 14 of its 23 years within the league. In 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2002, the team won the Eastern Conference Finals. The Liberty has played in four WNBA Finals, making it the team with the most appearances in the WNBA Finals without a championship.
