Bio: Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Mewis played soccer at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School where she recorded 77 goals and 34 assists. In high school, Mewis earned Parade All-American honors twice, was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Player of the Year in 2010, and was awarded Gatorade Massachusetts Girls Soccer Player of the Year two years in a row. Mewis played for the UCLA Bruins during her collegiate career where she helped lead the team to its first NCAA Championship in 2013.

Mewis’ club career began in 2013 when she signed with Pali Blues in the W-League. In 2015, she was selected fourth overall by the Western New York Flash in the NWSL Entry Draft. Mewis followed the team as it moved to North Carolina and was rebranded as the North Carolina Courage. During her club career, Mewis has won three NWSL Championships. Mewis was first called up to the USWNT in 2014 and was a part of the final roster when the United States won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
