Bio: Raised in Boise, Idaho, Huerta attended Centennial High School where she was named Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year twice. Huerta went on to become a four-year starter at Santa Clara University. Throughout her collegiate career, Huerta was named All-West Coast Conference First Team, Third Team All-American, and co-Player of the Year in the West Coast Conference.

In 2015, Huerta was drafted 11th overall in the NWSL College Draft by the Chicago Red Stars. During her rookie season, Huerta was a finalist for the NWSL Rookie of the Year Award. Huerta was traded to the Houston Dash in 2018 and later traded to the OL Reign in 2020. Internationally, Huerta has played on loan for Adelaide United and Sydney FC. Huerta played for the Mexico Women’s National Team until 2014. In 2017, she earned her first cap for the USWNT. Huerta became the first female player to play both for the United States national team and against the United States national team (when she was representing Mexico).
