The deciding game of the Women’s College World Series finals drew an average of 1.6 million viewers Thursday night.

A peak of 2.1 million viewers tuned in to watch Oklahoma clinch their second straight WCWS title. The Sooners beat Texas 10-5 in Thursday’s Game 2 to sweep the championship series.

The championship series brought in an average of 1.6 million viewers, while all 16 WCWS telecasts on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC averaged 1.04 million viewers.

Though WCWS viewership was down slightly from last year, when the WCWS averaged 1.2 million viewers, the May 28 contest between Texas and Arkansas made history as ESPN’s most-watched Regional or Super Regional, logging 1.02 million viewers.
