Fans looking for tickets to No. 6 Iowa’s regular season finale will be paying a hefty fee to get in the door.
Currently, the ticket prices for the team’s game against No. 2 Ohio State average $557 apiece. That makes it the most expensive ticket in women’s basketball history, in what could be Caitlin Clark’s final regular season game in Iowa City.
The lowest-priced ticket is current $491 – besting the $337 it cost to enter the door for the Iowa-Michigan game where Clark broke the NCAA women’s scoring record.
It’s the latest in what has been a record-breaking season for Clark when it comes to ticket sales. Last week, the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament sold out for the first time ever.
In total, Iowa and Clark hold the top five most expensive women’s basketball games on record, as well as two others in the top 10, according to Front Office Sports.
Game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, for reference, now sits at No. 9 on the list with an average purchase price of $148. Tickets for Dawn Staley’s 600th career win on Feb. 22 averaged $190.
