Chicago’s injury report is already growing, after the Sky announced forward Rickea Jackson tore her ACL ahead of tonight’s home opener against Dallas.
“We’re devastated that Rickea suffered this injury, but we are confident she will make a full recovery,” Chicago GM Jeff Pagliocca said in a team statement. “Rickea was playing at an All-Star and All-Defensive level early in the season.”
Jackson joins Courtney Vandersloot, DiJonai Carrington, and Azurá Stevens on the Sky injury list, while center Elizabeth Williams is listed as questionable.
Despite Chicago’s setback, both of tonight’s teams are off to promising starts, currently sitting at or above .500 after each going 10-34 in 2025.
The 3-1 Sky owns the league’s No. 1 defensive rating through four games, while Dallas’s attack is averaging 88.3 points per game with two wins.
“We still have a good team,” Sky head coach Tyler Marsh said Tuesday. “We still have valuable pieces in that locker room that are ready to go out and perform.”
