Sabrina Ionescu's Liberty Falls Short in Liberty vs Fever Push
Indiana hit 59% from the floor and 79% from beyond the arc, going 16-of-25 on 3s. A 15-7 push late in the second quarter stretched the lead to 54-37, and the Fever carried a 64-46 cushion into halftime.
New York trimmed the gap to 66-57 in the third, but Mitchell's three-point play and a late Cunningham triple extended Indiana's lead once again.
From there, the Liberty just couldn't answer. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart scored 19 apiece for New York, and Jonquel Jones added 14 points and 10 rebounds. Still, the loss ended an 8-1 stretch for the Liberty dating back to their last meeting with the Fever in July.
New York will look to bounce back quickly in their next game against the LA Sparks on Thursday at 8 PM ET on Prime Video. Indiana, meanwhile, will take on the Dallas Wings Friday at 7:30 PM ET on ION.
