The UWCL is back. The 2026/27 UEFA Champions League schedule opens September 22nd, as 18 European teams strive for greatness while one defending champion looks to repeat.
Barcelona locked up its fourth UWCL title last May after dismantling Lyon 4-0 in Oslo. And now, the Spanish titan will battle an even deeper field in this year's League Phase draw.
2026/27 Champions League Schedule Phases & Formatting
Top European teams Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain headline a packed UWCL schedule.
The competition is keeping to last season's Swiss formatting, with each club playing six league-phase matches. The top four teams then advance directly to the UWCL quarterfinals, while teams ranked from No. 5 through No. 12 enter a playoff round.
Any club subsequently finishing 13th or below is automatically eliminated.
Where to Watch Champions League Matches This Week
Matchday one of the Women's Champion League runs September 22-23 followed by matchday two on September 30th and matchday three on October 28th.
