Breanna Stewart has the WNBA community wrapped around her finger, and she’s using it to type out cryptic emojis on Twitter.
The league’s top free agent started a frenzy Monday when she tweeted 15 seemingly random emojis, including a baby bottle, a basketball, paw prints and a newspaper.

Fans and journalists alike tried to decode the tweet, coming up with various conclusions, most of which were on the silly side, from “her daughter Ruby got her phone” to an acknowledgment the 2018 MVP is clearly “messing with us.”
Stewart escalated the bit throughout the week, seemingly content to keep everyone guessing.
Her latest emoji-filled tweet, though, got specific.

A storm cloud? That’s the Seattle Storm. A government building? The Washington Mystics. The Statue of Liberty? The New York Liberty, naturally.
A wolf? A bit tougher to decipher, but that must mean to the Minnesota Lynx, who share an owner and an arena with the NBA’s Timberwolves.
ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne confirmed the meaning behind the post. Stewart will meet with the Storm, Mystics, Liberty and Lynx in Istanbul when free agency opens at 12 a.m. ET Saturday. The meetings will take place in Istanbul, where the 28-year-old forward is playing in the offseason with Turkish club Fenerbahce.
The six-year WNBA veteran is the country’s most sought-after free agent. She has spent all six seasons in Seattle with the franchise that drafted her in 2016. Last year she met with the New York Liberty before re-signing a one-year deal with the Storm.
Because of that previous meeting, she was expected to have interest in the Liberty once again, and that appears to be the case.
The Liberty just made a major trade, acquiring Jonquel Jones from the Sun, and during her introductory press conference, Liberty general manager Jonathan Kolb said the team plans to be “very aggressive” in free agency.
That could include Stewart as well as Sky point guard Courtney Vandersloot, who is also meeting with the Liberty.
