Emma Raducanu’s WTA Tour debut will continue after the US Open champion received a wild-card invitation to the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Normally played in March, the tournament will take place from Oct. 4 to 17 this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Raducanu made her WTA Tour debut in June before reaching the fourth round at Wimbledon. She ultimately retired from the match due to a health issue.

Earlier this month, the 18-year-old shocked the tennis world when she become the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam singles title and the first British woman to do so in 44 years.

World No. 1 Ash Barty recently withdrew from Indian Wells, joining Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams as tournament absentees.
