Aliyah Boston, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, is in the middle of a very busy weekend. After attending practice with the Indiana Fever on Friday, she boarded a flight for South Carolina in order to attend her college graduation.

As Boston walked across the stage at Colonial Life Arena during Saturday’s ceremony, she received a huge cheer from the crowd.

Can we pause and give this queen her flowers like the @UofSC graduating class just did?!” Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley wrote on Twitter. “@aa_boston thank you so much for giving so much of you to all of us. There will never be another.”

Boston also celebrated the moment on social media, writing: “(S)uper thankful to God for allowing me to graduate with these amazing people around me! Go cocks!!”

And then, it was straight back to the airport. Boston is slated to compete in Indiana’s preseason game against the Chicago Sky on Sunday evening. The Fever confirmed in a phone interview that Boston arrived in Chicago on Saturday night and participated in Sunday’s pregame shoot-around.
