It continues to be a career-best run in New York for Aryna Sabalenka.

The Belarusian took down Barbora Krejcikova to advance to her first US Open semifinal, defeating the 2021 French Open champion in straight sets, 6-1,6-4.

The loss by Krejcikova marks the first time no former major champion has reached the women’s semifinals at the US Open.

It’s Sabalenka’s second-straight Grand Slam semifinal after she reached the semifinals at Wimbledon.

Sabalaneka will face off against 19-year-old Leylah Fernandez in the semifinal. Fernandez has been making headlines of her own this week after defeating Naomi Osaka and reaching her first career Grand Slam semifinal.
