The U.S. Open women’s singles draw is set.
World No. 1 Ash Barty has a tricky journey to the final as she faces off against former World No. 2 Vera Zvonareva of Russia in the first round. If she makes it through the first three matches, she could be met by 13th seed Jennifer Brady, who finished runner-up at this year’s Australian Open.
The winner of that section could then either face off against 2020 French Open champion and seventh seed Iga Swiatek or Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Belinda Bencic in the quarterfinal.

No. 4 seed Karolina Pliskova has the potential to face off against a couple of Grand Slam champions, including 2019 U.S. Open champion Bianca Andreescu and two-time Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova who could face off in the fourth round. But first she’ll go up against American Caty McNally.
In the third quarter, defending champion Naomi Osaka will face off against Marie Bouzkova in the first round. However she could find 21-seed Coco Gauff, former U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens or three-time Grand Slam champion Angelique Kerber waiting for her in the fourth round.
The match in the quarterfinals could come against Elina Svitolina but the fifth seed faces a potentially difficult fourth-round match of her own against 12th seed Simona Halep.

Second seed Arya Sabalenka will take on Nina Stokanovic in her opener with the chance to take on reigning Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova for a spot in the semifinals. But Krejcikova could face some difficulty of her own with former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka possibly waiting in the fourth round.
The first round of the U.S. Open is set to begin Monday, Aug. 30.
