Ashleigh Barty cruised past Jil Teichmann, 6-3, 6-1, to capture the Western & Southern Open championship in Cincinnati on Sunday.
Barty downed Teichmann in one hour and 13 minutes, nailing eight aces and winning 85 percent of her first service points. The world No. 1 didn’t drop a set all tournament, marching to her fifth title of the season.

The win in Cincinnati provides Barty with valuable momentum heading into U.S. Open, which begins in New York on Aug. 30.
