I’m honored to work with a company that’s investing in women and betting on us to succeed. I’m hopeful there will be many more badass females to follow 💪🏽💪🏽 pic.twitter.com/WJan4YE7Qt
“Representation matters, so this is a special moment of progress for the sport and the series,” Parker said in a statement.
Parker’s WNBA 25th Anniversary Special Edition cover will be released on Sept. 10 alongside the Luka Dončić-covered Standard Edition and the NBA 75th Anniversary Edition featuring Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Parker is in her 14th season in the WNBA and first with the Chicago Sky. A WNBA champion and two-time WNBA MVP, Parker will be making her sixth All-Star Game appearance Wednesday night when she and Team WNBA take on Team USA at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
