Charley Hull slid down at the LPGA leaderboard at the 2026 Women's Scottish Open on a single first-round hole yesterday.
The English fan favorite went for Dundonald Links' 521-yard, par-5 fifth in two shots. Her hybrid approach found the rough short of the green, but a delicate pitch to 15 feet still left a birdie look. Then, however, everything went sideways.

Inside Charley Hull's 4-Chip LPGA Scottish Open Meltdown
Hull's putt rolled past the cup, caught a slope, and trickled off the back of the green. From there, she needed four separate chips just to get the ball back into putting position. She finally holed out for a quadruple-bogey 9, turning a birdie look into a five-shot swing.
Still, the world No. 7 steadied herself with four straight pars before the turn. But another dropped shot on the back nine left her at 6-over 78 — well off the pace on the LPGA leaderboard.

At the top, Jenny Shin and Lauren Coughlin grabbed the co-lead at 6-under 66 in windy conditions. A Lim Kim sits one back at 5-under, with Sweden's Lisa Pettersson at 3-under.
Hull's playing partners fared better. No. 1 Nelly Korda posted an even-par 72 to sit T14, while defending champion Lottie Woad shot 74 after early trouble.
Round 2 of the LPGA Scottish Open gets underway Friday at Dundonald Links.
