Cheryl Reeve wants to talk about officiating in the WNBA.
Following the Minnesota Lynx’s 82-71 loss Thursday night, the Lynx head coach was heated over a lack of foul calls.
Reeve’s postgame press conference lasted about 60 seconds. Her answer to questions was to point out the discrepancy in free throws with “25 free throws for the Connecticut Sun, 10 for the Minnesota Lynx.”
Lynx forward Napheesa Collier also noticed the lack of calls heading Minnesota’s way.
“Connecticut played a really good game, DeWanna played a really good game, made some tough shots so kudos to them,” Collier said in the postgame press conference. “But it’s hard when they shoot 25 [free throws] and we’re shooting 10 and that’s going to be my answer to every question.”
It’s not the first time this season the Lynx have been upset with WNBA referees. Back in July, Collier quote-tweeted a stat line, implying that free throws “would be appreciated.”

She also responded to Holly Rowe’s question about how the Lynx could go an entire game without being fouled.
Yes It does seem impossible doesn’t it!! https://t.co/IVxpsDVbUr— napheesa collier (@PHEEsespieces) July 10, 2021
