The Houston Dash rolled to a 5-0 shutout of Chicago Stars FC on Wednesday at Shell Energy Stadium, delivering one of the most lopsided NWSL scores of the week.
The final goal tally also matched the club's all-time margin of victory record. Houston last reached that mark in 2022 against the Orlando Pride.
Houston Dash Build 1st-Half Lead Over Chicago Stars
Rookie midfielder Kat Rader struck early for the Dash, converting off an Avery Patterson feed in the fifth minute. She doubled that in the 42nd minute, pushing her season total to nine goals while netting her first career brace. The goals add to a breakout campaign that's already earned her NWSL Rookie of the Month honors.
Beyond Rader, three more players found the net for the home side.
Linda Ullmark struck in first-half stoppage time just hours after being named to the USWNT's U-20 Women's World Cup roster. Kate Faasse extended the lead in the 79th minute, and Lisa Boattin sealed the match with her first career league goal deep in added time.
Midfielder Miljana Ivanović recorded two assists in only her second NWSL appearance, while goalkeeper Jane Campbell posted her 47th career clean sheet. Houston's 28 goals this season now rank as the second-highest total in club history.
The Dash currently sit in 9th place in the NWSL rankings. They next face Bay FC on Sunday at 6 PM ET on CBS Sports.
