WNBA greats Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird received widespread attention Friday night during their entertaining showing on ESPN’s inaugural Megacast during the Women’s Final Four.

The duo teamed up to commentate the Louisville-South Carolina and UConn-Stanford matchups, treating viewers to their on-air chemistry and sarcastic personalities.

Drinking from red solo cups, the longtime friends chatted with the likes of Las Vegas Aces guard Kelsey Plum and NBA legend Kevin Garnett. Taurasi got in her fair share of one-liners, even needling Bird for her decision to play one more year in Seattle.

“I’m so mad … I thought I had the last Sue Bird jersey she played in. Now I wash the car with it. Now it’s my car rag,” Taurasi joked.

The Phoenix star also let viewers in on her college days at UConn, remarking that current players are much more disciplined than she was.

“I was pounding beers and cheeseburgers in college,” Taurasi said.

Geno Auriemma joked after UConn’s win over Stanford on Friday night that he would not rewatch his former players’ show.

“I didn’t record it, and the chances of me watching it are less than zero,” said the UConn coach. “When you’ve been around those two as long as I have, I really truly have no interest in hearing anything they have to say. But I’m sure they were funny as hell, and I’m sure whatever I see they were drinking didn’t come from the store.”
