No. 3 Atlanta is on a tear, notching back-to-back weekend wins over No. 7 Indiana to surge up the WNBA standings on an 11-4 record ahead of tonight's Dream vs Tempo game.
Star forward Angel Reese made history, becoming the fastest player in league history to record 1,000 rebounds. She outpaced icon Tina Charles’s previous 89-game record by 10 games.
“[Rebounding] gives us more points, it gives us more opportunities,” Reese said. “Being able to come out and do what I do every single night just shows my consistency.”
The Dream carries a three-game winning streak into tonight’s matchup against No. 10 Toronto. The 2026 expansion side currently sits just below the playoff line on an 8-8 record.
The Tempo will be without leading scorer Brittney Sykes due to a plantar fascia injury, instead relying on backcourt standout Marina Mabrey after she dropped a career-high 37 points in Friday’s 101-97 win over the Sun.
“Looked like I was watching Diana Taurasi out there,” coach Sandy Brondello said of Mabrey. “Just how effortless it is, and just how fast she can shoot, the confidence she has — we’re lucky to have her.”
