No. 1 seed Duke narrowly escaped early elimination from the NCAA tournament Friday night, scoring in the last minute to defeat No. 17 Old Dominion 1-0.
Caitlin Cosme provided the go-ahead goal for the Blue Devils, striking a free kick past the Old Dominion keeper to give Duke the lead with 17 seconds left on the clock.
