EA SPORTS FC 27 has revealed Future Stars Team 2, spotlighting the next generation of rising women's soccer talent. Angel City defender Gisele Thompson headlines the squad.
Gisele Thompson Leads Team 2 Class
The EA FC Future Stars program highlights emerging players tipped to shape the future of the sport. Thompson earns top billing in Team 2, which went live in the game on October 16th.
Thompson is one of the brightest young talents in US soccer. The Angel City right-back scored her first NWSL goal by combining with her sister, Alyssa, then won silverware in her debut tournament with the USWNT.
The Thompsons also made history together. Gisele and Alyssa became the first sisters to appear as Future Stars, following Alyssa's inclusion in last year's squad. "Being named an EA SPORTS FC Future Star for the Class of '27 is really exciting, and I love that it's become a family thing," Thompson said.
"I got to celebrate with Alyssa when she was named a Future Star last year, and now she's doing the same for me."
More Women's Standouts Featured EA FC Drop
Paris Saint-Germain forward Merveille Kanjinga, a Congo DR international, also joins the women's contingent.
