Elle Duncan thinks it's time for Caitlin Clark to go on the offensive — and just not on the court.
Appearing on The Sports Gossip Show, the former ESPN anchor urged Caitlin Clark's camp to directly confront those weaponizing her name, after a congressional letter addressing the WNBA star's treatment made headlines this month.
"I would love for someone on her team to look at her and go, 'You need to be calling these people out by name,'" Duncan said.

The comments came after a congressional letter demanded the WNBA do more to protect Clark following her collision with Alyssa Thomas.
Duncan saw that form of political involvement as part of the problem. Bad-faith actors, she argued, have hijacked Clark's image to push agendas that have nothing to do with basketball.
Yet Duncan was careful not to place blame on the Fever guard herself. The issue, in her view, is that Clark's current approach of staying quiet simply isn't slowing the noise down.
"The definition of insanity is to just keep doing the same thing," Duncan said.
She even envisioned Clark telling Congress directly to stop infantilizing her. Until that happens, however, Duncan believes the actual basketball will keep getting lost in the noise.
