Arsenal defender Emily Fox signed a three-year extension with the club on Thursday, ending months of speculation about her future in the WSL. The contract keeps the USWNT right-back in North London through 2029, and comes after significant NWSL interest over the summer failed to tempt her away.
Emily Fox's Impact at Arsenal So Far
Fox has made 93 appearances for the Gunners since making the move from the North Carolina Courage in January 2024. In that stretch, she helped Arsenal claim the 2024-25 Champions League title and the FIFA Women's Champions Cup. On the international stage, she earned Olympic gold with the USWNT at the 2024 Paris Games and added a CONCACAF Gold Cup win.
But, along with that team success, Fox's personal hardware has stacked up, too. The defender earned PFA Women's Super League Team of the Year honors in both of her full seasons, along with back-to-back selections to the UEFA Champions League Team of the Year. A 2025 Ballon d'Or nomination followed.
"This has felt like home since the moment I joined, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent this club and compete for titles," Fox said.
The latest contract extension cements one of the WSL's most reliable defenders as a fixture in Arsenal's back line for the foreseeable future.
