USA Basketball Advances to FIBA Women's World Cup Quarterfinals
USA Basketball already secured its spot, sweeping Group D with wins against China, Italy, and Czechia. Breanna Stewart and a roster of World Cup newcomers carried the squad without key members like A'ja Wilson and Kelsey Plum, extending a nearly 70-game winning streak across Olympic and World Cup play.
The four-time defending champions will face the winner of today's Hungary vs Japan matchup when the quarterfinals tip off September 10th.

Germany, playing on home soil, is pursuing its first-ever quarterfinal berth at the FIBA Women's World Cup, while Hungary hasn't cracked the top eight in 40 years.
