The brother of LSU sophomore Flau’Jae Johnson was arrested following Sunday’s SEC tournament championship game altercation.
Trayron Milton has been charged with assault and battery and disorderly conduct by the Greenville Police Department for his role in the scuffle.
Milton jumped over the scorer’s table to reach the court, with police saying that Milton pushed down an SEC employee and stepped on her shoulders to make his way onto the court.
Milton briefly made contact with South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso before being led away by police.
Cardoso had pushed Johnson after Johnson grabbed the hip of the Gamecocks’ MiLaysia Fulwiley during a turnover. Benches were cleared as players joined in on the scuffle. Cardoso was ejected for fighting, as well as three of her teammates for leaving the bench area. Two LSU players were also sent off as they finished the game with five players to South Carolina’s six.
Police say two other people attempted to jump from the stands but were stopped by authorities before making their way to the court.
"To get over the table, Milton came from behind the table, pushed down on the victim’s head, and stepped on her shoulders to jump over," GPD spokesperson Diana Munoz said. "Two other spectators jumped over the wall but did not reach the court because officers stopped them."
According to Greenville News, Milton has since posted his bond, which was set at $1,087.50.
